Artemis Dance Studio was established by professional ballet and modern dancer Dianne Garrett. The studio is dedicated to providing high calibre dance training and performances in a nurturing and creative environment.
Dianne received her early training in The Royal Academy of Dance achieving the Advanced 2 level of certification. She completed her dance training in New York at the Martha Graham School of Dance and in Toronto with former National Ballet Prima Ballerina, Lois Smith before joining the professional ranks. With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dianne has danced with Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers, Anna Wyman Dance Theatre, Mainz Ballet Company, Giessen State Ballet, Danse Partout, Dance Corps and Lola McLaughlin Dance. She is also the past recipient of three Canada Council Grants for study abroad. Dianne, in addition to touring throughout Canada, has toured France, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, India, Mexico, Japan, China, Hong Kong and the USA.
Dianne moved to Fredericton with her husband in 2003 and opened Artemis Dance Studio in September 2005 in the historic and beautifully restored Charlotte Street Arts Centre.
